Todays HS Senior Pictures

Today high school seniors want to show themselves in a dynamic way. Unlike pictures of the past in a plain yearbook fashion, they want to show their individuality. Sure, they want the cap and gown of themselves in their yearbook to show to all their friends and keep forever. But now they might be thinking of something more. They may want a dynamic look in their team jersey, or uniform or a creative look if they’re in the arts.

There is nothing wrong with selfies but these days they seem to look the same. And that’s ok they preserve the fun times and record your child as they grow and want to share their adventure of life with family and friends and get a good laugh. That’s life, and it’s wonderful.

Now let’s step into when a picture becomes a portrait, when you want something a little more that becomes timeless and more tangible than a selfie. A portrait becomes a framed print you display in your home. When people stop by and say Wow, Is that your son or daughter?!

Dynamic portraits are fun and exciting, and more often it’s the student who comes up with the ideas of what they want, and it’s up to the photographer to try and create that vision. In the digital world, many pictures can be taken, but there has to be a purposeful outcome with the client and photographer. That’s how I take pictures, as though I only have 24 pictures on negative film. The portrait is already in front of me, ready to be captured.

You can give me a call or send an email if you want to know more. There is no cost to you in any way, just a conversation. You can ask me anything about how to get started. The one thing I will say here is, when I work with students, a parent has to be on location during the entire session.

Go to the Grads section in the menu and you can see some of my work.
